What are HMO, PPO and EPO Group Insurance Plans?
- HMO, or Health Maintenance Organization, plans facilitate coverage through a primary care provider (PCP) from your employee’s choice of physicians within our network.
- PPO, or Preferred Provider Organization, plans usually carry a higher monthly premium while allowing your employees to choose any physician they wish, either inside or outside the BCBSTX network.
- EPO, or Exclusive Provider Organization, plans allow your employees to seek services from a predetermined list of in-network providers without having to seek a referral from their primary care physician.
